How It Works (Mode of Action)
- Nerve Disruption: It targets the nervous and muscular systems of insects by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels.
- Paralysis & Cessation of Feeding: Treated insects stop feeding within hours of ingestion, become paralyzed, and die within 2 to 4 days.
- Action Type: It functions primarily as a stomach poison with some contact activity, and exhibits translaminar movement (meaning it penetrates leaf tissues to control pests feeding on the underside of leaves).
- Caterpillars and Borers: Highly effective against diamondback moths, armyworms, bollworms, and fruit borers.
