Product Description:

The combination of Copper Oxychloride and Kasugamycin is a broad-spectrum, dual-action agricultural fungicide and bactericide. It combines a systemic antibiotic (Kasugamycin) with a protective, contact-based fungicide (Copper Oxychloride) to manage a wide range of bacterial and fungal diseases in various crops.
Key Functions
  • Systemic + Contact Action: Kasugamycin is absorbed systemically by the plant to inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria, while Copper Oxychloride forms a protective film on the surface to kill fungal spores upon contact.
  • Preventive and Curative: It acts as a preventative measure by forming a barrier against new infections and as a curative treatment for existing diseases.
  • Disease Resistance Management: Its dual, multi-site mode of action reduces the likelihood of pathogens developing resistance compared to using single-site fungicides.
  • Enhanced Adhesion: The formula has good adhesive properties, making it resilient to wash-off by rain.
Target Diseases
  • Bacterial Diseases: Bacterial blight, bacterial leaf spot, citrus canker, soft rot.
  • Fungal Diseases: Anthracnose, early blight, late blight, downy mildew, leaf spot, rust.
Common Formulations and Dosage
Commonly sold as a 47% WP (Wettable Powder) – e.g., 45% Copper Oxychloride + 2% Kasugamycin.
  • Dosage: Generally, 240-400 grams per 100 liters of water, or approximately 300-600 grams per acre depending on the crop and severity.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive Protection: Simultaneously controls “bacterio-fungal” complexes.
  • Low Toxicity: Low toxicity to humans, animals, and fish, making it safer for applicators.
  • High Safety to Crops: Generally safe for plants at recommended dosages.
